IH Saudi Arabia is the first private training institution in the Kingdom to offer CELTA. Each year, the IH network trains 500 new English teachers.
CELTA is the English teaching industry’s primary initial qualification. It is the most recognized EFL qualification in Saudi Arabia. Increasingly, as native speaker teachers are replaced by localized manpower, CELTA provides a critical means to accredit aspiring English teachers who are hoping to work in the Kingdom’s many language schools and even in the corporate sector. Not only is CELTA recognized by the British Council, it is also understood by many HR departments as a vital prerequisite for employment in Saudi Arabia’s local colleges and vocational training centers.

All costs are clearly indicated, including the Cambridge registration fee, and there are no hidden fees. In addition to the input sessions that focus on areas like language acquisition, modern methodology, and lesson planning, CELTA also includes 4 written assignments alongside the course’s teaching practice and observation components.
For the full time CELTA with IH Saudi Arabia, you will study 120 hours in a class of no more than 15 trainees. There are 30 hours per week. Please consult the CELTA syllabus and training plan, including teaching practice and required assignments.
CELTA face to face courses are offered in Dhahran and Jubail, but so long as minimum class sizes apply, it can be offered around the Kingdom.
